Beginnings: Lenny grew up in New Britain, CT and was always involved with music. He played clarinet in his grade school band and even raised extra money by caroling as a soloist door to door during the Christmas season. At the age or thirteen, Lenny started singing in his Uncle Tommy Dayon’s band in numerous Connecticut nightclubs.

Musical Style and Roots: Lenny has a soulful and eclectic approach to his style of music. Coined “Country Music With Soul” by Colin McEnroe, musical critic for the “Hartford Courant” and talk show host of WTIC radio, Lenny uses steel guitars, horns, strings, Nashville studio players, and anything that will embellish his style without over-doing it. Lenny has that country/R & B sound to make his music sound “like Elvis would do his today”.

Full of energy, intensity, and magic, Lenny has been compared to many performers and entertainers. Lenny’s performances are riveting and electric. Lenny has been influenced by so many artists but here are some he always emulated: Elvis, Roy Orbison, Sam Cooke, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Steve Miller, Travis Tritt, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The O.J.s, Al Green, Johnny Rivers, Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, and Paul McCartney. Lenny appreciates good music no matter the genre.

Major Performances and Openings: Lenny has performed on three separate occasions at the “Oakdale Musical Theater” in Wallingford, CT with “The Temptations” to a standing ovation each time. Lenny also recorded with Sam Moore of “Sam and Dave” fame in Nashville, TN and has opened for Delbert McClinton at “Toad’s Place” in New Haven, CT. Lenny also opened for Jo Dee Messina, Patty Loveless, and Ricochet at the “Meadows Music Theater” in Hartford, CT; performed the national anthem to 30,000 people at the “Great American Country Music Festival” in Springfield, MA summer of 2001.

Lenny toured for the Department of Defense on a seven-week, seven-country tour (including, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Italy, Greece, and Spain) to packed embassies, bases, and camps in 1998.

Lenny also performed several times at the Radisson (Opryland) Hotel in Nashville for Jamie (Davis) Marshall and others). (Jamie has choreographed many of Lenny’s songs – one on his first CDs, “Dances A Lot”, and other songs on his new release, “Credit Cards and Cadillacs”). Lenny also performed at Churchill Downs in Kentucky for a huge line dancer event and at the famous “Tootsies” in Nashville, TN.

Breaks: Lenny’s song, “She Dances A Lot” appeared on ABC TV’s “All My Children” in June of 2000. Lenny was also corralled by Wayne Gamache (his co-writer on many songs) and Randall Cousins (of the Roto Noto/Dark Horse independent labels) in Canada. Lenny has been heavily played in Europe over the years but his major milestones this year in Europe have been to make the European Country Music Most Played Artists lists. Only the top 300 of 2000 artists make this list, which Lenny made straight from April to October of 2002 (without any major promotion efforts). Lenny also made the Honky Tonk pick of the month in Belgium in October of 2002 with Jesse James of Belgium.

Lenny’s songs, “Like Our Lovin” (re-mixed and re-mastered) and “Tennessee Lullaby” have given him the basis for going over the top. Put your ears to his music and decide for yourself. His publishing name is 1 Not 2 4get publishing and that speaks for itself.
